Eek

I'm getting pretty excited as in 6 days time I'm seeing Tiger Army (again! It appears to have become an annual thing...)

Excited but a little nervous though. There are going to be people there that I know and haven't seen for a long time it'll be the usual AFI people that I haven't seen since about April 2007. I have had good times with all the people that I know that are going, but I know there's at lest one person going that resents me for numerous reasons.

I just hope it's awesome and that there's no atmosphere, no awkwardness and no shit!

<3

PS. What the frick is that banging noise I can hear? I'm hoping it's the mental birds in the loft...

Birthday Wishlist

My birthday is fast approaching, and despite the fact I sincerely doubt I shall receive any of these things, these are some things that I really would quite like...

This bag is rather brightly coloured...bright by my standards anyway. I figure it'd be cute for summer.

Cute necklace. I have one the same but with a different design, but a change would be good. This pic has come out tiny. This bag is actually a giant weekend bag. It's beautiful!

This is the necklace I dream about. LOOK AT IT! What more could you want? What more could you ever possibly need? It's perfect. One day. One day...

These shoes if they were black.

AFI to come and play a few dates. I miss them! No fun times like AFI fun times!

Lots of this please!

Haha, I look so spoilt/materialistic. In reality I'd be happy with any one of these things. I won't get any, but it's always more fun not knowing what you're actually getting.

I'm pretty sure...

...I should stop trying to convince myself that my dissertation's going okay. 3,481 words out of 10,000 really isn't that good at all :(

Also, bleaching seems to do very curious things to ones hair. Other than the obvious side effects...the being blonde and the slightly poorer condition, my hair now seems to have the ability to stand on end with far greater ease than ever before. There is not a single hair product in my hair, but if I stick a bit up, it seems to stay there for considerably longer than it would have done in it's pre-bleached state. Weird.

Procrastination is every students favorite game...

...and I am no different.

I have 1400 words of a 2000 word essay done and I'm pretty sure they're all worthless. It's one of those times where I know the answer to the question, but putting the answers into coherent sentences is proving incredibly difficult, hence me distracting myself (EVERYONE NEEDS TO TAKE BREAKS!!)

On this particular break I took a trip up to a local frozen food store (no, not a supermarket, a shop dedicated solely to processed goods =( ) to purchase some chocolate. Whilst queuing to purchase my 'brain food', one of the shop assistants was in the process of writing a sign for the staff. Halfway through writing this sign, she looks up at her fellow shop assistant, looks back at her sign and informs aforementioned co-worker that "I think I've spelt 'tidy' wrong"

How can 'tidy' wrong?!??? Tydy? Tydeee? Tidee?
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND!!!!!!!!!

In other news, Center Parcs was ace. I want to live forever in a woodland holiday community, but alas, I cannot. Swimming every night was brilliant though, and having no internet connection and minimal phone reception was somewhat liberating (although maybe not very practical as when I got home I did learn that I had almost made the mistake of burning the house down...)

Center Parcs - Feb/March 08

I also just went to read Mr. Jade Puget's blog and his mention of Decemberunderground instrumentals has led me to listen to Decemberunderground, which has in turn made me miss AFI a great deal. I desperately want them to come back soon and do some shows (wishful thinking I know), but despite this I am almost certain that I could never have as much fun as I did during the 2006/2007 shows. I think some of those times (Maida Vale specifically), were once in a lifetime experiences that I am so SO grateful to have had.

One of my main aprehensions about applying to become a teacher is that I will have responsibilities, I will be a real person who will not be able to just take a week or two off when my favrite band tours in order to go and see as many shows as possible. Maybe I'll just invent a reoccuring medical problem that results in having to take extra time off work? There is definately something that makes me uneasy about having set holiday time (yes, I know teachers get far more weeks off work that people with other jobs, and I'm not complaing, just commenting!). I have no idea why I am saying this though as I haven't even been accepted onto any PGCE course yet, so it may not even be an issue ever.

Ah yes, and the leopard print bag is indeed mine. It is brilliant and beautiful. Definately worth purchasing <3
